Gloss, Satin or Matte - Understanding Finish

A lip product is more than its colour. Finish decides how the lips look, and how they feel to wear - the quiet difference between a look that settles and one that doesn't. Three finishes appear most often. Here is how they differ.

Matte

Colour at its purest, with no shine. The effect is defined and self-assured: the shade itself, nothing else. It reads clearly and holds through the day, with little need to return to it.

Satin, or Velvet

Somewhere between matte and gloss. A soft luminosity that keeps the lips looking natural, quietly alive. The Velvet Collection is built here - a creamy formula, refined and elegant. Never flat. Never glossy.

Gloss

Light, dimension, a fuller lip. Worn alone for a soft, polished shine, or layered over colour for depth. Silk Gloss gives that luminosity and stays comfortable - never sticky, never heavy.

Three Shades to Consider

  • Caramel Cream - a warm caramel nude, at home on most skin tones
  • Pink Truffle - a neutral rosé, timeless and quiet
  • Berry Pop - a deeper berry, for a more defined finish

Which Finish to Choose

It depends on the look, and on how you want the lips to feel.

  • For quiet elegance - the Velvet Collection
  • For soft shine and dimension - Silk Gloss
  • For definition - Define Lip Liner, for clean edges and longer wear

The right finish isn't more shine, or more matte. It's the balance that feels like you.
